This is about the building and what it purpose is

Innovative Fireproof Building Design – The world’s first building concept with an integrated, inseparable solar energy generation and storage system!

A protective "Accommodation-Machine" incorporates fixed, conventional building elements along with mobile, high-tech (computerised) components. This innovative building design offers a modern solution for constructing safe, above-ground, fireproof structures. It is particularly well-suited to the harsh environmental conditions of Australia, where much of the habitable land is classified as fire-prone and subject to frequent bushfires and intense firestorms. The panel blocks are uniformly and identically shaped, making them ideal for prefabrication. Solar film-generated electricity and flywheel battery storage are intricately designed to be integral parts of the structure. Sundialer buildings will be the first in Australia where self-generated energy is as commonplace as having a hot water system or a fridge!

Background

  • Some attempts to build an affordable fireproof building in the past and present (see: CSIRO Website) in Australia and around the world were inadequately designed, non-practical, and therefore unsuccessful. The available information on the internet shows most attempts are trying to make rectangular buildings fireproof, not to create a new type of fireproof building!

  • Literally no one in that field was able to think outside of the square!

    Dome-shaped buildings are the most stable and structurally sound building construction. One prominent example is the Hagia Sophia, ordered to be built by a Byzantine Emperor and still standing tall after more than 1500 years! Dome shape is a remarkably simple geometrical form to subdivide and slice into uniform building panels, making it ideal for prefabrication. Prefabrication is the most effective and economical building method presently.

BUILDING TECHNIQUE IMPROVEMENT

  • The building design utilises prefabricated, fire-rated reinforced concrete panels and integrates solar film-generated electricity with flywheel battery storage, creating a self-sufficient, fireproof structure. The entire building can be assembled within eight hours and can also be disassembled and reassembled at another prepared site.

Dome design

  • The dome shape is extremely stable and offers fire protection by providing no resistance to firestorm air pressure and turbulence. It is made from fireproof concrete with no exposed gaps for ember or flame attacks.

Cool Dome home is a double shelled Dome building.

First shell is the Basic one.

  3. The solar energy stored in a specially designed Flywheel Battery under the ground floor.

  4. The Cool Dome Home's Flywheel battery is an integral part of the building.

  5. It can take and store external additional energy: like peak-time green energy come from the national grid, therefore helping to smooth out the national grid's power fluctuation. Then in exchange for that help, energy supply companies would give the excess peek energy at discount price to the Cool Dome Home owners.
